Recycling and Domestic Wastes

geri donusum-geri donusum makinesi

We live in an era in which the technology has been developing day by day, speed has been gaining importance in each field, and fast consumption has been intensifying. Together with the changing consumption habits, rapid population growth, and increasing environmental pollution, future-oriented recycling projects continue to be developed.

Nowadays, health and nutrition awareness are among the rapidly expanding trends. Considering that 15,500 liters of water is used to bring 1 kilogram of meat to the table,
people who care about recycling reduce meat consumption,
thus contributing to sustainable nutrition by focusing on foods such as vegetables, fruits, and cereals.

In addition to these individual initiatives, large companies and entrepreneurs have been rolling up their sleeves for recycling works to find solutions for the question of “How is our environment affected?”. When designing recycling stations for living spaces such as shopping malls and parks that we visit frequently, new recycling ideas are also developed for sending these materials to factories and contribute to the environment.

NON-RECYCLED WASTES WORTH TRY 1.5 BILLION

One of the first points where people show sensitivity is their home. Besides the industrial waste in Turkey, it is stated that there are about 6 million tons of recyclable domestic waste generated in settling areas. It is pointed out that the value of non-recyclable wastes is over TRY 1.5 billion.

People having waste food awareness, support compost production in terms of recycling and domestic waste. Compost production is the process of the recycling plant and animal wastes into natural and organic fertilizers through decomposition and decay in a humid environment.

According to data from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, about 30% of the amount of waste in Turkey can be recycled using organic waste treatment method. Recycling organic wastes can both prevent environmental pollution and also it supports the increase in the soil’s water retention capacity and better cultivation by ensuring better aeration.

SRST TOUCH ON RECYCLING

Swiss Recovery Systems Turkey’s (SRST) medium-scale recycling machine, developed using Swiss technology, provides a competitive advantage. Our machine can recycle 300 kg of domestic waste into organic fertilizer in 24 hours with high a yield rate of 30%-40%.

In terms of recycling, it is stated that Turkey is the country to which the European Union exported the most recyclable waste in 2018. According to the data of the European Statistical Institute (EUROSTAT), the total value of these exports, which has reached 13 million tons in the last 14 years, is EUR 4.5 billion.

Considering the importance of recycling, we aim to eliminate the need for imported fertilizers in a short time due to the increase in organic fertilizer production and to export organic fertilizers in the long term.

Within the scope of the benefits of recycling, we aim to contribute to the national economy, to preserve natural resources, to save energy and to create a more sustainable environment by reducing environmental pollution.
